Lights, Camera, Action!

Yesterday was the first official day of shooting, and boy, what a ride!

I had read and heard all kinds of horror stories about shooting (even on big budget productions), and yesterday we got to experience them.

I can see how some people might get burnt out on that, but I have to tell you — to me, it was a lot of fun.

Taron Lexton was right (he’s a great up and coming director out in LA and one of the people in the industry I admire the most). It’s really all in the state of mind. It’s easy to be hit with obstacles and get upset or cave in, but when you just roll with punches and take it as part of the game and just laugh with it… things aren’t bad at all.

The cast and crew were incredible. I’m really happy with the chemistry we have. Shots came to life. The 2D pages came to 3D life.

Wow, why would anyone want to do anything else for a living?

Between you and I — and may MLK forgive me — "I have a dream!" And in that dream we are signed to a network for a full year of episodes, and I have more than enough funding for the features that "surround" this series. And we have an ever increasing fanbase worldwide, composed of people who are energized by what we do, and find meaning in what we create.

And, of course, we have world peace! ;-)

(Sorry, couldn’t resist!)

Big shout out to the cast and crew for their energy, creativity and contribution — oh, and patience!

I look forward to completing this episode and moving on to the next one.

Cheers,
Val
